DESSO® appoints former Unilever Executive to run its Global Consumer Division

Leading European carpet manufacturer Desso has further strengthened its team with the appointment of former Unilever Director, Rob Peters, as Managing Director, Consumer Carpets.

With extensive experience in the consumer marketplace having spent 12 years with Unilever, Peters brings leadership, brand management, strategic and practical industry experience to the company.

His most recent position held was Managing Director for Unilever Foodsolutions, Netherlands which includes brands such as Knorr, Unox, Calvé and Conimex. Peters has considerable international experience including responsibility for Lipton Ice Latin America brand.

Peters will oversee all sales and marketing initiatives for Desso’s Consumer Carpets division which includes Desso's own consumer brand and the Bonaparte and Parade brands from the acquisition of Enia Carpet NL Holding BV by Desso in March this year. Desso Consumer Carpets is the only European high end consumer carpet company with sales in Benelux, Germany, France, Switzerland and Austria.
