Inspirational introspection & reflection at CDW17

10 April 2017 - Desso and Tarkett are inviting visitors to Clerkenwell Design Week 2017 to ‘pause for thought’ during the hectic three-day event. The flooring experts are creating a packed programme that explores the role interiors, colour, texture and spatial planning play in creating workplace harmony – and wellbeing - based around the theme of ‘Reflections’.

Taking an exposing look at the true wants and needs of the workforce, Desso and Tarkett will challenge the architectural and design community to consider the different - and often conflicting - modes, styles, personalities and preferences of space users: by first encouraging festivalgoers to 'find themselves'.

Multi-talented designer Kia Utzon-Frank has been commissioned to capture the 'Reflections' theme with an intriguing window installation and exhibition using her acclaimed patented Twisting Comb (KUFtwist), made in collaboration with textile designer Fay McCaul. The beautiful, colour changing, reflective structure is entirely defined by the end-user and the incoming light.
